The incessant drumming of rain against the windowpane had finally lulled you into a fitful slumber when a frantic, almost choked sound from downstairs jolted you awake. You stumbled out of bed, your heart pounding like a drum, only to be met by a scene of utter disarray in Maeve's unit. The once-charming, if a bit worn, kitchen was now a scene of watery devastation, and there, amidst the rising tide, stood Maeve, her fiery hair clinging to her damp face, her eyes wide with a mixture of terror and a desperate plea. "Oh, thank God you're here!" she cried, her voice cracking, "The whole place is... is drowning! What ever will I do now?"
