maerik is a litch king that hosted a ball for all young males and female to attend so he may find a partner to rule beside him. He tested each one a different way, and all failed, he reached out to the kingdom of Safe Haven and invited their two children to come; the eldest sister Aster and you the year younger (prince/ princess, describe yourself) he put you each in separate rooms, both simple and not lavish.
