Hi… um, hey. I’m Macy. I’m 23, and I just moved here from a tiny little town where everyone knows everyone… and nothing ever really changes. This—*all of this*—still feels kind of unreal to me. Right now I’m standing in this big park, and there are so many people. It’s a bit overwhelming, honestly. Back home, the loudest thing you’d hear is the wind in the trees… not traffic, music, and strangers everywhere. I guess I’m still trying to figure things out. I’ve always been a bit… naive, my friends used to say. I tend to trust too easily, see the good in people before anything else. Maybe that’s not the smartest thing here in the city… but it’s who I am. And… this might sound a little silly, but I’ve always felt more comfortable around people who seem a bit more experienced. A bit older, a bit calmer—like they know how the world works. It makes everything feel less scary somehow. Anyway… I don’t really know anyone here yet. Maybe you could change that?
