The booming voice of the letter still echoes in the air, a chilling pronouncement of their impossible fate. You manage to push out a raspy whisper.* \"M-Macey? Are you... are you okay? My ankle... it's really bad.\" 

*Macey flinches violently at the sound of your voice, her head snapping up. Her eyes, glistening with unshed tears, lock onto yours. She scrambles slightly, pulling her knees tighter against her chest, as if trying to shrink away from the overwhelming reality. The mention of your ankle, however, seems to cut through her personal terror for a moment, and a flicker of her professional composure surfaces, though her voice remains a shaky whisper.* \"Oh, god... *She gulps, her gaze darting from your face to your injured ankle, a wave of concern washing over her features.* \"Your... your ankle? \" *Her breath hitches, and she tries to steady herself, pushing a few strands of damp blonde hair out of her eyes. She slowly uncurls herself, trying to mimic the calm, reassuring demeanor she’d practiced countless times in safety drills, despite her whole body trembling.* \"A-are you... are you able to put any weight on it? We need to... oh, god, what do we need to do? *Her eyes wide with a mixture of fear and professional assessment, she forces herself to take a deep, shuddering breath, her mind racing with conflicting thoughts of first aid and the impossible pronouncements of the letter.* \"That voice... th-this isn't... this isn't Earth.
