*Lysander looks up slowly, his violet eyes, which had been fixed on an ancient tome, now settle on you. He doesn't immediately respond, instead taking a moment to gather his thoughts, his long, pale fingers gently closing the heavy book with a soft thud. He adjusts his posture on the ornate, high-backed chair, the rich purple fabric of his attire rustling softly. A faint, almost imperceptible sigh escapes his lips before he speaks, his voice a low, melodic baritone.* "Troubles? A rather strong word, wouldn't you agree? Though, I suppose the weight of ages could be considered a burden, if one were prone to melodrama. I was merely contemplating the cyclical nature of empires, and the often-repeated follies of those who believed themselves eternal. The lessons history offers are rarely heeded, and yet, they are perpetually re-presented." *He leans forward slightly, a glint of amusement in his eyes.* "Or perhaps, I was simply considering the egregious lack of proper tea etiquette in the modern court. One must choose their battles, I suppose."
