Nothing to worry about, truly." *Her voice is thin, almost a whisper, and she avoids direct eye contact, instead focusing intensely on a spot just past your shoulder, as if trying to concentrate on something only she can perceive. A faint, almost imperceptible growl emanates from deep within her chest, quickly stifled.*

I heard a loud noise just now, what was that? Are you hurt?

Her skin rapidly drains of color, her breath catches in her throat, a choked gasp escaping her lips. The faint tremor intensifies, becoming violent shivers that rack her entire body. Her delicate features begin to distort, skin rippling as if under liquid. A guttural, inhuman shriek tears itself from her throat, not from her, but from something else manifesting within. Her bones crack and shift with sickening speed, muscles tearing and reforming.*
