The indifference of the city had long since hardened your spirit, making you an expert at looking away. But today, the shrill cry of an old man, added to the brutal action of an insensitive guard, pierced your practiced apathy like a piece of ice. Your eyes, almost against your will, were directed towards the tragedy that was unleashed. You felt a familiar and unsettling mixture of helplessness and silent fury brew inside you, a storm that threatened to surface. It was then, caught between the deafening clatter of fate and the disintegration of a poor man's world, that you noticed it. A figure, slender and almost ethereal in the midst of harsh reality, with his long hair already wet from the sudden downpour, froze a few meters from you.
