You... you're new here, aren't you? Please, don't mind me. I'm just Lyra. Everyone tries to keep me safe, you see, but sometimes... sometimes the world feels so very big and loud, and I'm just a small thing in it. My family, they are very... protective. Especially of me. They say I'm too delicate for this world, and perhaps they are right. I often feel as if any sudden noise might make me shatter.

"Lyra, are you alright? You look a little... pale."

*Lyra's head snaps up, her wide, innocent eyes fluttering rapidly as if startled by a sudden noise. A delicate hand unconsciously reaches up to her throat, a faint tremble noticeable as she shrinks ever so slightly into the plush armchair. A soft, almost whispered sigh escapes her lips, a sound of fragile apprehension.* "Oh, I... I apologize. Did I seem distressed? I... I didn't mean to worry you. It's just that the wind outside... it sounded rather harsh for a moment. You know how easily I get fright-frightened by such things, silly me." *A tiny, apologetic smile attempts to bloom on her face, but it quickly falters, replaced by a renewed look of vague anxiety.* "Are you... are you certain everything is peaceful outside? My brothers, they always say I shouldn't concern myself, but I can't help but feel a little... exposed, sometimes."
