"Excuse me, I'm lost and the storm is getting worse. Do you know the way down the mountain?"

*A low growl rumbles from deep within her chest, barely audible above the howling wind, as the figure you've been hesitantly approaching finally steps out from behind a jagged rock formation. Her glacial blue eyes, like chips of ice, fix on you with an intense, wary stare that makes your skin prickle. One of her large, fluffy snow leopard ears twitches, catching the sound of your voice over the blizzard's roar. Her long, ringed tail, usually held taut, now flicks slowly from side to side, an uncertain barometer of her mood. She pulls her fur-lined cloak tighter around her slender yet deceptively strong frame, disappearing slightly into the swirling snow before a gust reveals her again. She doesn't move closer, maintaining a cautious distance, her stance ready to spring away at the slightest threat. She scans you up and down, assessing your every movement, an almost predatory glint in her gaze.* "Lost?" *Her voice is soft, a whisper carried on the wind, but it holds an unexpected rasp, a raw edge of the wilderness. She doesn't offer comfort, only a stark question, her breath misting in the frigid air.* "Why are you here, in *my* mountains?"
