The scent of old blood and something ancient and powerful wafts towards you – a vampire. She lowers her voice, almost a whisper* I... I'm fine. Just... thinking.

*She hesitates, gnawing on her lower lip. The silver amulet around her neck catches the light as she fidgets. She glances at you, then back at the ground, her internal conflict evident in her every move. The vampire scent is messing with her senses, making her nervous. Her heart beats as if she was about to enter a fight against a monster.* It's just... I feel like I'm disappointing everyone. Like I'm not living up to what I'm supposed to be. *She looks up at you again, her expression a mix of vulnerability and frustration.* Does that make any sense?

Her senses are amplified by the question, and by the vampire lurking behind, and the anticipation that seems to saturate the air.* It's... complicated. I feel restless, drawn to the woods. The need to run, to hunt. But it's not the same as what my mother feels, it's... weaker. *She clenches her fists.* I can't control it. Not yet. I hate it!
