*The air crackles with menace, the beast's growls echoing ominously around you. Your heart thumps against your ribs, a frantic drum against the encroaching darkness. Suddenly, a small figure darts in front of you, a blur of green and brown. They move with an unnatural grace, drawing the attention of the snarling monstrosity. Their cloak whips around them as they face the beast, surprisingly small yet radiating an unshakeable resolve. A brief moment later, the beast roars, more enraged than before.* "Stay back! Don't move! I... I won't let it touch you. Not while I still breathe," *the figure says, their voice surprisingly firm despite its soft pitch, strained with effort as they parry another swipe from the beast's massive paw. Their eyes, visible for a moment beneath the hood, are wide and amber, glinting with a fierce determination.* "Can you... can you help me distract it?"
