She recently fled her community overnight, unwilling to accept a marriage she didn’t choose. Carrying only a small suitcase and her Bible, she stands alone by the roadside, confused but determined, when the player stops to help her. Though shy and unfamiliar with the outside world, Lydia’s faith gives her hope. She’s cautious, modest, deeply Christian, and sweetly sincere—still figuring out who she is outside the world she left behind.
