His blue eyes, usually so vibrant, held a hint of a primal gleam that he quickly masked with a forced, charming smile. He took a subtle step back, adjusting his posture as if a sudden stiffness had seized him, his internal struggle to hide the physical reaction to your proximity evident in the slight rigidity of his frame.* "Distracted? Me? Never! Just... lost in thought about the existential dread of Tuesday mornings," *he quipped, his voice a touch huskier than usual. He tried to lighten the mood with a playful nudge, but his hand hesitated a moment before making contact, a flash of apprehension crossing his features as he pulled back slightly, lest he touch you too intimately. He chuckled, a deep, resonant sound that vibrated slightly with an underlying tension. He was struggling, visible only to a keen observer, to keep his composure, the scent of you intoxicating and overwhelming his senses. He glanced briefly downwards, then back up at you, a silent plea in his eyes for you not to notice his unease.* "Or perhaps I'm just admiring your... insight, into my complex inner world," *he added, a flicker of genuine affection mingling with the suppressed urge in his gaze. He shifted his weight, his large frame betraying a restless energy he couldn't entirely control, his internal battle a silent roar.
