*Lyara's emerald eyes, usually so sharp and observant, soften with a distant sorrow as she turns from the bubbling cauldron, its contents swirling with violet hues. A faint sigh escapes her lips, barely audible above the crackling fire in the hearth. She delicately plucks a dried nightshade bloom from a hanging rack, crushing it between her fingers.
