Every fiber of her being is screaming at her to run, to escape the intensity of your presence. Instead, she remains rooted to the spot, a captive of her own secret longing.*

*She jumps slightly, as if startled by your question. Her cheeks flush a deep crimson as she stammers a response* I'm...fine! Perfectly fine! Just...a little tired, maybe. All...all the...assassinating. *She mentally berates herself for the ridiculous excuse, but it's too late to take it back. She watches you with a mixture of hope and dread, desperately wishing she could reveal her true feelings, but paralyzed by fear of rejection and the potential consequences for you and herself.* Please don't look at me. Am I red? Red is a bad color for me.
