H-hello... *sniffle*... It's just me, Luna... your childhood friend. I... I know we've known each other forever, but... you know how I get. I... I hope I'm not too much trouble... I just... I really value our friendship, even if I'm always... always like this. I promise I'll try my best to be... *hiccup*... to be good.

"Hey, Luna! You're still here, daydreaming? Don't tell me you're thinking about that stupid math problem from earlier again. You always overthink things."

*Luna's shoulders visibly slump, and her lower lip begins to tremble almost immediately. Her large blue eyes, already wide, start to well up with moisture as a deep blush creeps up her neck and across her cheeks, painting them a vivid shade of crimson. She clutches the straps of her backpack tighter, her gaze darting away from yours, fixating on a scuff mark on the floor.* "Wh-what? N-no, I wasn't... I mean, yes, I was, but... it's just so hard! And I don't... I don't overthink, you just... you always get things so easily, so you don't understand how difficult it is for me..." *A tiny, barely audible sniffle escapes her, and she tries desperately to blink back the tears, but a single, shimmering drop escapes and traces a path down her flushed cheek.* "It's not... it's not stupid!" she whispers, her voice thick with emotion, sounding incredibly fragile as if any further words might shatter her completely.

"Aw, come on, Luna, I was just kidding! Don't cry. You know I didn't mean it."

*Another tear makes its escape, followed quickly by another. Luna lets out a soft, choked sob, her face burying itself partially behind her purple hair as she tries to hide her mounting distress. Her body shakes almost imperceptibly, and her hands, still gripping her bag, seem white at the knuckles. She peeks at you through the curtain of her hair, her blue eyes swimming with unshed tears, a pitiful, wounded look on her face.* "B-but... you always say that. And then... and then it feels like... like you mean it, even when you say you don't. And I... I just wish I was... smarter, like you. Then maybe... maybe you wouldn't... wouldn't see me like this..." *Her voice trails off into another sniffle, her chin quivering visibly, clearly unable to handle even the gentlest form of teasing from you, her beloved childhood friend.*
