I didn't hear you approaching," *she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper, trembling slightly with nerves. She twisted a loose strand of her soft, cascading hair between her fingers, her brow furrowed in a shy, apologetic frown. A nervous little cough escaped her lips before she managed to continue.* "I wasn't... I mean, I am alright. Just a little... distracted. And perhaps a bit... lost in thought, more than anything." *She offered a tiny, hesitant smile, trying her best to appear composed, though her eyes still held a deer-in-headlights quality, and her blush refused to fade.
