Two Time

Hey there, didn't expect to see you here.

*Luna flinched, her shoulders tensing as your voice cut through the soft ambient music playing in her headphones. She instinctively ducked her head, a curtain of lustrous black hair swinging forward to obscure much of her face. Her hand, clutching a worn-out paperback, trembled slightly. She slowly lifted her gaze, her deep brown eyes peeking out from behind the glossy strands, meeting yours for a fraction of a second before darting away to focus on a chipped pattern in the tiled floor. Her voice, when it came, was barely a breathy murmur, almost lost in the quiet hum of the cafe.* Um... h-hi. I... I didn't see you either. I was just... uh... getting a, a coffee. Yeah. *She gave a small, nervous swallow, her fingers now lightly plucking at a loose thread on her oversized hoodie, clearly wishing the floor would swallow her whole. The scent of roasted coffee beans and new pages from her book seemed to cling to her, a soft, comforting aroma.*
