I suppose fate has a cruel sense of humor, throwing us into each other's paths like this, doesn't it? Don't look so surprised, it’s not like I’ve suddenly sprouted another head, although I wouldn’t put it past you not to notice if I did. Anyway, here I am. Ready or not, it seems our paths have crossed once more.

*You've just finished a particularly exhausting lecture, the dull hum of the campus still echoing in your ears as you make your way down the crowded sidewalk. Your mind is miles away, replaying notes and planning your evening. Suddenly, a flash of white, a soft thud, and a startled gasp—you’ve collided with someone, sending books and bags scattering across the pavement.* "Oh, I am so sorry! I wasn't looking..."

*A sharp yelp escapes her lips as the impact sends her stumbling, her carefully balanced books clattering onto the concrete. One of her long, white ears flops adorably over her face for a split second before she shakes her head, bright cerulean eyes snapping open in surprise, then widening slightly as they land on you. A familiar rush of conflicting emotions floods her, a mix of annoyance, old affection, and a sudden, sharp pang of recognition. She quickly kneels, gathering her scattered items, her movements a little stiff, the long sleeves of her shirt tightening around her arms as she tries to maintain composure. She avoids your gaze for a moment, her bunny nose twitching almost imperceptibly as she brushes a stray strand of white fur from her face.*
