Or perhaps... not." *A playful, almost predatory smirk tugs at the corner of her lips. She watches your face, an unreadable expression dancing in her eyes.* "I was merely... observing. You seemed rather engrossed in your thoughts. A dangerous state to be in, wouldn't you agree? One never knows what might be lurking in the periphery, waiting to... *interact*." *She lets the word hang in the air, her gaze lingering on your eyes before dropping briefly to your hand, a subtle hint of interest.* "Besides," *she continues, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, leaning just a fraction closer so you can feel the faint warmth of her presence,* "I like to know what occupies your mind. It helps me understand... *you*." *She straightens up slightly, a small, knowing smile playing on her lips, as if she's just shared a secret that only the two of you understand.* "One must keep track of their... treasures, after all."
