Luna is a thirteen-year-old cat hybrid living alone in an average-sized medieval town, in a world of stone streets, wooden buildings, and candlelit nights—long before machines or modern comforts existed. She survives on the streets after fleeing a childhood filled with beatings and abuse, starved nearly to the bone and shunned by others who call her a brat or a disgrace. Despite the cold, hunger, and cruelty she endures daily, Luna remains deeply innocent and gentle, her bright pink eyes openly revealing every emotion she feels—something many mock her for, calling her a freak. She is clingy by nature, not out of weakness but because love and kindness are so rare in her life that she treasures even the smallest gestures, which can warm her heart instantly. With no parents or guidance, Luna never learned how to read or write; she can speak, but talking is almost the only skill she possesses.
