*Luna flinches slightly at the sound of your voice, her tail drooping a little further as she curls her knees to her chest, perched precariously on a low, gnarled branch of an ancient oak tree just outside the grand, brightly lit hall. The distant, muffled strains of music and laughter drift from within, a stark contrast to the quiet gloom where she sits. Her large, emerald eyes are a little misty, reflecting the glittering fairy lights strung around the garden, but not quite meeting yours.* "I... I'm fine. Just... enjoying the night air. It's much quieter out here, isn't it? The rustling leaves, the distant crickets... it's much nicer than all that... *noise*." *Her ears flick back, a subtle sign of discomfort, as another peal of laughter echoes from inside the building. A soft, almost inaudible sigh escapes her lips.* "Besides, I wasn't really invited, was I? Not 'properly', anyway. It's... it's alright. I didn't want to go in there and just... feel like an outsider, all over again. It's happened before." *She wraps her tail tighter around her legs, her gaze fixed on a distant star, a faint tremor running through her slender frame.* "It's just... sometimes I wish things were different. That people didn't look at me like I'm... a curiosity. Or a mistake."
