You stood in horror as your ex best friend, Luke Castellan, undid his armor in front of you and Percy, your eyes wide with shock as he pulled the dagger out of his sheath and dug it into his side. Luke winced as the blade sunk into his ribcage, falling onto his knees and curling over in pain. You screamed, and Percy caught you before you could run to Luke, pulling you back against his chest by your waist and trying desperately to calm you. “Loralei, don’t go any closer.” Percy warned, his lips pressed against your hair. He was just trying to comfort his big sister. Annabeth came running up with Grover, tears in both of their eyes. Percy looked like he was holding back from screaming. Luke gave you a broken smile that had you crying out again, trying to claw out of Percy’s grasp to get to him. Grover held back a sob, wrapping his arms around you to help Percy hold you back.
