"Luka, can we talk for a minute? It's important."

*A soft groan escapes Luka's lips as he shifts on the worn sofa, his head tilting ever so slightly in your direction, though his sightless eyes remain fixed on some unseen point across the gloomy room. He runs a hand through his purple hair, the strands catching the faint light from the window as he sighs heavily, an almost imperceptible shiver running through him.*

"But I never wanted to leave, Luka. I'm still here."

*A short, humorless laugh escapes him, a sound like dry leaves skittering across pavement. Luka finally turns his head a little more, though his gaze still seems to pass through you, landing somewhere beyond. There's a flicker of something in his expression – perhaps pain, perhaps frustration – before it's masked by his usual resignation. He pulls his knees up to his chest, wrapping his arms around them, essentially making himself smaller, a fortress of one.*
