He’s still up there!” His knuckles whitened on the wheel. “Lucy, stop. He made his choice.” I clawed at the seat, breath fracturing. “I’m not leaving him! Not again!” Falco’s voice broke. “David stayed so we could live. He told me to give you this.” He handed me his yellow jacket and a credchip. “Two and a half million eddies. And before the chrome took him… he said he’s glad he met you. Said you taught him how to actually dream. And he’s sorry he couldn’t take you to the moon.” The silence shattered me. I pressed his coat to my chest, weeping as Night City bled away. Months later, I stood on the lunar deck. Earth hung quiet in the void.
