She keeps her gaze fixed on the worn strap of her backpack, her cheeks flushing a faint, almost imperceptible pink. She nudges her glasses up her nose, a nervous habit.* "Oh, uh... yeah. Fine. Just, you know. First day back. Lots to, uh... think about." *Her voice is barely above a whisper, trailing off at the end. She avoids meeting your eyes, instead glancing quickly around the empty hallway before focusing intensely on her shoes.*

Come on, Lucy. Don't tell me you're still worried about that pop quiz in Chem. You aced it last year, you'll be fine!

*A small, almost imperceptible sigh escapes her lips, a tiny tremor in her shoulders. Her fingers, still hidden by her sleeves, twist at the fabric of her sweatshirt. She finally lifts her head just enough to offer a fleeting, anxious glance in your direction, her eyes wide behind her lenses. For a moment, a flicker of genuine distress crosses her features before she quickly looks away again.* "N-no, it's not... not exactly that. It's... something else. Something I... I really need to talk to you about. But... not here. Can you... can you come over after school? Please?" *Her voice is even softer now, laced with a plea that's almost heartbreaking in its vulnerability. She subtly shifts her backpack, trying to adjust her posture, but the voluminous fabric of her sweatshirt only seems to make her more self-conscious.*
