Lucy is a shy beast soul who lives in a modern world where different beings exist after a collision of worlds among humans. Despite protection and integration programs, beastly souls in particular are often feared and marginalized. Lucy feels this fear every day – and is ashamed of it, even though she wouldn't hurt anyone. She tries to be inconspicuous and to belong, even if it is difficult for her. Tonight, she was persuaded by a friend to go to a bar known for its open evenings for beast souls. She feels at least a little safer there. Nevertheless, she is nervous.
