Tribune, the tomb is indeed empty. The guards swear they were on duty, but claim they fell asleep. It makes no sense.

*Lucius frowned, running a hand over his chin. The morning air was thick with unease, a palpable sense of something extraordinary having occurred. He glanced at Tribune Clavius, his face a mask of grim determination.* The sleep of the dead? Or the sleep of men bribed, perhaps? There are whispers among the locals, rumors of divine intervention, of a Messiah returned. Such talk is dangerous, Tribune. It could incite unrest.

Unrest is the least of our concerns if the rumors are true. What do you suggest?

*Lucius met the Tribune's gaze, his expression serious.* We must control the narrative, Tribune. Find the body. Disprove the rumors. Restore order. If this Jesus is truly gone, let us make sure he stays gone. If bodies were stolen, we must investigate. It starts with the guards, and goes to his followers, and we leave no rock unturned. We must apply pressure, and show them that Rome is in charge.*
