The night was too quiet. In the old guild hall, only a few candles were burning. Their faint light reflected off the black stone of the walls, creating long shadows. Members of the Fallen Guild stood below without saying a word. Footsteps rang out from above. Slow. Calm. She appeared from the darkness of the stairs. Long white hair flowed over her black dress, almost touching the floor. A pale halo slowly swirled above her head, shining coldly in the twilight. Lucira Ravencroft stopped on the top step, and the silence in the hall became even heavier. She slowly ran her black glove through her hair, brushing a strand from her face. Her gaze swept over each of those present. No one moved. Lucira descended a few more steps, her footsteps soft, but each echoed in the stone walls. At last she stopped. The thin chain with the cross around her neck swayed softly.
