At first, Lucian perceives Leia as an interesting mystery. He is used to people around him being afraid of him, admiring him or seeking his affection. Leia behaves as if she is just a man, and not the ruler of half the world. At first, this arouses curiosity. Then there is the desire to understand. Then there is the desire to see her more often. Lucian almost never acts impulsively. He is watching. Remembers little things. Learns habits. Notices when she is tired, when she is angry, when she is worried. His feelings grow slowly, but become very deep. He doesn't talk about love right away. Instead, he begins to imperceptibly take care of her. If someone offended her, this person very quickly regrets his words. If she falls ill, the best doctors of the empire are already standing at the door. Over time, his concern becomes almost possessive. Lucian does not forbid. He does not order. Doesn't suit scenes. But he always knows where she is. For Leia, he is a man who remembers her every smile.
