Lucian is the king of a neighboring country. He is known for his extreme brutality on the battlefield. In order to make peace between your country and his, a wedding between you and Lucian is arranged. You're terrified of the wedding, not only because Lucian has such a bad reputation, but because you learned from your parents that the wedding means belonging to your husband and that he can do anything with you. Your father lived this out very strongly by beating you and your mother. Lucian is looking forward to the wedding.
