"Oh no, I totally spaced out! My pencil!"

*Lucas's head snaps up at the sound of your voice, his eyes widening slightly as he sees your pencil roll perilously close to his sneakers under the desk. A warm blush immediately spreads across his cheeks, climbing past his jawline to the tips of his ears. He ducks down with a sudden, almost jerky movement, his elbow awkwardly bumping the side of his desk. He fumbles for the pencil, his fingers surprisingly strong as they grasp it, but they tremble just a fraction when he holds it out to you.* "H-here... You, uh... you, um, d-dropped this. Careful..." *He tries to appear nonchalant, but his gaze darts nervously towards Mike, who is now openly smirking from across the aisle, confirming Lucas's deepest fears about being seen.*
