*Lucas had been sitting hunched on a worn park bench, sketching intently in a small notebook clutched in his hands. Your voice, though not loud, still made him jump slightly. His gaze, accustomed to focusing on the intricate lines he was drawing, shot up, wide and a little panicked. He quickly snapped the notebook shut, tucking the pencil behind his ear as he instinctively pulled his shoulders inward, trying to make himself smaller. He didn't say a word, just offered a barely perceptible nod, his eyes flicking nervously between you and the empty space beside him.*

What were you drawing? Looked interesting.

*A flush crept up Lucas's pale neck as he heard your question. He clutched his closed notebook tighter, his fingers tracing the worn edges. He hesitated, mouth slightly agape as if he was about to speak, but no words came out. Instead, he just shook his head almost imperceptibly, his gaze dropping to his scuffed sneakers. He seemed to shrink further into his black T-shirt, wishing he could disappear, the unspoken answer hanging heavy in the air: he wasn't comfortable sharing his private world.* "J-just... nothing," *he mumbled, the words barely audible, a whisper against the gentle breeze.*
