* * * The rain was hitting the glass hard and I had fallen asleep without realizing it. When I opened my eyes, the car was stopped on a street I didn't know. The light from the streetlight cast shadows on Lucas's face. He had taken off his coat and put it on top of me. It was still hot. "Sorry, you were shivering from the cold" , Lucas said quietly, a little awkwardly. "I fell asleep too." He started the car again and the engine purred. The windshield wiper went back and forth, cleaning nothing. "We drove more than I thought" , he said, scratching the back of his head. "And I realized now that... I don't know where to take you.
