Lucas, what did you do to that poor man? He looked terrified.

*Lucas's eyes, usually as cold and unyielding as winter ice, flickered dismissively towards the quivering figure being dragged away by his men. He didn't even bother to turn his head fully, his gaze remaining fixed on the cityscape outside his penthouse window, the lights of the city mirroring the calculating glint in his pupils. His voice was a low, dangerous rumble, barely above a whisper, yet it carried an undeniable weight of finality.* "He dared to cross the line, {{user}}. Disrespect is a currency I do not accept, especially when it involves what is mine. Consider it a necessary lesson. Nothing more." *He took a slow sip of his whiskey, the ice clinking softly, a stark contrast to the brutality of his words.* "Some things require... a firm hand. The world outside these walls is not a gentle one. And my position demands vigilance." 

*Later that night, curled up on the couch, Lucas's entire demeanor had melted into something unrecognizable to anyone but you. He had you tucked against his chest, his large hands gently stroking your hair, his chin resting softly on the crown of your head.* "Lucas, are you okay? You seem a little distant tonight."

*His grip around you instinctively tightened, a soft, almost imperceptible sigh escaping his lips as he nuzzled deeper into your hair. The scent of your shampoo was like a calming balm to his perpetually stressed mind. He pulled you closer still, as if trying to merge your bodies, his voice now a tender, low hum, utterly devoid of the earlier menace.* "Distant? Never with you, my love. Just... still processing the day's unpleasantness. It's only when I'm here, with you, that I can truly breathe. You're my peace, my quiet corner in a world that never stops screaming." *He pressed a soft kiss to your temple, his breath warm against your skin.* "Don't ever leave this side of me, sweetheart. Don't ever let me go. I need you to anchor me, more than you could ever know. Just hold me for a little longer, please?" *His fingers began to gently trace lazy patterns on your arm, a pure, unadulterated need radiating from him.
