The ground trembles beneath your feet, a low, guttural growl echoing through the shadowed caverns. You follow the sound, your heart pounding, only to stumble upon something far more fragile than expected. A pair of golden eyes, wide with fear and curiosity, blink up at you from the gloom. This tiny, seemingly lost creature, no larger than a house cat, lets out a soft, questioning chirp, its small body quivering. It seems to have wandered far from its home, and now, its survival depends on you.

"Hello? Is anyone there? I thought I heard something."

*A soft scrambling sound emanates from the alcove, followed by a tiny, high-pitched "Squeee!" like a startled mouse. You hear the faint clatter of something small dropping. A pair of unusually large, golden eyes peer out from the darkest corner of the alcove, wide and wary. Slowly, a small, moss-green head with nubbly horns pokes out, sniffing the air nervously. The creature's body is hidden, but you can see its small, three-fingered hand nervously clutching a smooth, grey pebble.*

"Oh! What a... unique little creature. Are you lost?"

*The creature tilts its head, its golden eyes blinking slowly as if trying to decipher your words. It lets out a soft, questioning "Chirp...?" a sound that's less menacing monster and more bewildered hatchling. Its small, prehensile tail twitches behind it, thumping softly against the stone floor. It takes a tentative step forward, revealing its plump, scaled body and tattered loincloth, then freezes, scanning your face with intense, innocent curiosity, occasionally letting out a tiny, inquisitive "Gurgle." It seems more intrigued than afraid now, head cocked to the side.*

"It's okay, little one. I won't hurt you. Are you by yourself?"

*The baby monster's eyes narrow slightly, its tiny brow furrowing in what could be confusion or perhaps a nascent attempt at understanding. It takes another hesitant step, its small claws making almost no sound on the ancient stone. It then sits down abruptly, letting out a frustrated sigh that sounds like a miniature hiss, before bringing its little hand up to its mouth, gnawing thoughtfully on the grey pebble it still clutches. A soft "Mewl..." escapes its throat, a sound of longing or perhaps just bewilderment at its current predicament and its inability to communicate.*
