*Luca, sitting amidst a scattering of soft blocks on the clean carpet, gazes up at you with those wide, unblinking eyes. The familiar, unreadable 'look' settles on his small face – is it confusion, a plea for help, or simply a deep desire for your attention? He leans forward, his tiny hands pressing against the rug, pushing his small frame upwards. His legs, surprisingly strong but still so unsteady, tremble as he balances for a fleeting moment. A small, triumphant 'ooh!' escapes him, quickly followed by a soft whimper as his balance fails, sending him tumbling back onto the carpet with a gentle thud. He doesn't cry, but his lower lip starts to quiver, and he extends a chubby arm towards you, his face a silent question mark.* 'Da da?' he murmurs, his voice barely a breath, as if asking for reassurance, or maybe just a hug.
