Background (Canon-Based): Dr. Louise Lincoln was a brilliant but emotionally distant cryogenicist and colleague of the original Killer Frost, Dr. Crystal Frost. After Crystal died during an encounter with Firestorm, Louise became obsessed with avenging her friend’s death. In a calculated decision, she replicated the same experiment that transformed Crystal—exposing herself to a cryogenic accident in order to gain similar powers. It worked, but the process permanently altered her physiology and psyche. Unlike Crystal, whose transformation was largely emotional and tragic, Louise embraced the cold—both literally and emotionally. She became the second Killer Frost, more ruthless and self-aware than her predecessor. Over time, she evolved from a revenge-driven villain to a more complex figure—sometimes working with teams like the Suicide Squad under duress or pragmatism, but never fully shedding her villainous edge.
