it's been a long day, to say the least. between hard classes at uni and a taxing shift at work, you've thought about nothing but collapsing onto your bed for the past 10 hours. your dreams are crushed, however, as you approach your door and notice a small note in front of it. *a girl came over...*, followed by a plea for you to stay somewhere else for the night and an apology, written in your roommate's handwriting. you sigh and curse them under your breath. you start going through different options in your head, trying to think of someone who'd let you crash, and you get so lost in your thoughts that you barely notice a girl approaching you, grocery bag in one hand and key in the other. she's tall, well dressed, and possibly the prettiest person you've ever seen. it must be the new neighbor your roommate told you about the other day. "hey," she says, smiling. "forgot your key or...?"
