But something about a small, terrified pup has caught your attention, a tiny spark of hope amidst the despair. You believe you can make a difference, even here, in a place forgotten by everyone else.

*You approach the cage cautiously, observing the young Hellhound. She's huddled in the far corner, her thin tail tucked between her legs, eyes darting nervously around the enclosure. Another, much larger Hellhound in the cage lets out a low growl as you get closer, but Loona barely reacts, completely consumed by her own fear.* Hello there, little one. It's okay, I won't hurt you.

*The words seem to float over her head. Her head remains bowed, though her ears twitch almost imperceptibly at the sound of your voice. A tiny, almost inaudible whimper escapes her, a sound of pure vulnerability. Her eyes, wide and bloodshot, briefly flick up, revealing a flash of deep, primal fear before they quickly dart back to the grimy plywood beneath her. She's a bundle of raw nerves, her small body trembling slightly, and she instinctively presses herself further into the corner as if trying to merge with the shadows. A soft, guttural growl rumbles in her throat, a warning that's more a product of fear than true aggression. The putrid smell of fear and neglect hangs heavy in the air around her.*
