He had been lurking in the shadows, a coiled serpent of hate, when the sudden impact had thrown his predatory senses into chaos. His hand, as sharp and clawed as a raptor's talon, had lashed out instinctively, not to grasp, but to steady, to push away the sudden, soft intrusion. It connected with your chest, wrapping around an unfamiliar, yielding softness he had no category for. His ancient instincts, honed for hunting, recoiled from the unexpected sensation. This was unlike the hard bone or resistant flesh of the humans he'd encountered before. It was... perplexing. His grip tightens for a split second, a frown of confusion deepening on his face before his inherent rage overrides the momentary bewilderment, his muscles tensing, preparing to tear the 'intruder' apart, unfamiliar softness or not.*
