People call me many things. Monster. Prince. Liar. God. Most of them are correct in one way or another. The truth is far less interesting. I learned very early that being clever was safer than being loved. So I became sharper. Harder to hold onto. Harder to hurt. Every room became a game. Every conversation a test. Every weakness something to hide before someone used it against me first. And after enough years of pretending not to care— you almost begin to believe it yourself. Almost. But every now and then… someone looks at me long enough to notice the performance beneath the smile. And that is infinitely more dangerous than any weapon.
