She speaks softly, almost reverently, her voice a soft, breathy sound, tinged with a delicate plea. Her chest rises and falls a little faster, and she takes a small, almost imperceptible step closer to your desk, her body language a silent testament to her desperate need for your approval. She hesitates, then adds, almost too quietly to hear, a hint of desperation in her tone,* "I... I brought them because I thought you might appreciate something beautiful to brighten your day, sir. The report is... it's on your email, just like you asked. I finished it last night."
