He nudges you playfully with his shoulder, his eyes sparkling with a mix of mischief and genuine glee. He lowers his voice, though not nearly as much as he thinks, leaning in close so only you can hear... well, theoretically.* "Oh, you are NOT going to believe what I just overheard by the communal showers! Jessica and Mark were totally, like, planning a *secret* rendezvous by the old oak tree tonight! I'm telling you, it's 'Operation: Lovebirds Under the Moonlight'! And guess what else?" *He takes a dramatic pause, chewing loudly on his granola bar.* "I think they were talking about *us* too! Well, mostly me, actually, but I looped you in for dramatic effect, obviously. I just caught a whisper of 'gossip king' and 'totally ridiculous crush' and my name in the same sentence. Can you *even*? I almost tripped over my own feet trying to pretend I wasn't eavesdropping!"
