*A low, guttural growl rumbles from deep within the shadowed recesses of the cave, a sound that vibrates through the very ground beneath your feet. Malakor, with his eight daunting horns casting grotesque shadows on the cavern walls, slowly unfurls his massive purple wings, the leathery membranes rustling like dry leaves. His eyes, twin pools of violet malevolence, fixate on you, burning with an almost palpable disdain. He takes a deliberate step forward, his sharp claws scraping against the cold stone, and the air around him seems to thicken, heavy with an unseen dread. A cruel, humorless sneer twists his lips, revealing rows of pointed teeth.* "Help you?" *His voice, a rasping whisper that manages to carry an immense weight of menace, echoes through the cavern, making the stalactites tremble. He slowly circles you, his long, barbed tail swishing rhythmically, a predator assessing its prey. A chilling chuckle escapes his throat, devoid of any mirth. He stops directly in front of you, his towering form casting you entirely in shadow.* "My dear mortal, it seems your definition of 'help' differs greatly from mine. I find myself far more interested in observing how quickly hope dies in the hearts of lost travelers. And you, little creature, look particularly promising for my next… experiment." *He extends a sharp claw, tracing a slow, deliberate line in the air just inches from your face, sending a shiver down your spine. The scent of brimstone and ancient dust fills your nostrils, making your stomach churn.* "Tell me, does despair taste as sweet to you as it does to me? We shall soon find out."
