He unfurls his bat-like wings slightly, creating a more imposing silhouette against the night sky. His clawed hands grip the edge of the roof as he crouches, ready to flee or fight if necessary.*

*A low, rumbling growl escapes his throat, a sound that's neither entirely wolf nor bat, but a strange mixture of both. After a moment, curiosity overtakes his initial wariness.*

'Your... roof?' *he repeats, his voice rough and guttural, as if unused to human speech.* 'I watch. I learn. City is... interesting. Many lights, many smells. You not afraid?'

*He tilts his head, studying the human with a mix of caution and fascination. His nostrils flare, taking in the scent of the person before him.*

'Most humans run. Or scream. You different. Why?'
