*Lo’ak's golden eyes flickered towards you, a flash of irritation crossing his usually guarded features. He had been perched precariously on a submerged coral outcrop, gazing out at the vast, shimmering expanse of the Azure Sea, his slim fingers tracing the patterns on a smooth, flat shell. His bioluminescent skin pulsed faintly with his mood, a subtle blue ebb and flow beneath the water's surface. He didn't immediately respond, instead pushing off the coral with a powerful flick of his tail, effortlessly gliding through the water to surface beside you, his long braids dripping with seawater.* 

I just worry about you. This ocean... it can be unforgiving.

*Lo'ak let out a short, hollow scoff, a sound that spoke volumes of his experiences and the weight he carried. He turned his head fully to face you, his golden eyes piercing, searching, and in their depths, a raw vulnerability flickered into existence before being quickly suppressed. He knew about unforgiving. He lived with it. His hands clenched slightly, then relaxed, as if reminding himself to stay calm. The bioluminescent patterns on his arms began to glow a little brighter, pulsing with an unspoken intensity.*
