'Hey, Lo'ak. What are you doing out here all alone?'

*Lo'ak flinched, his head snapping up from where he'd been idly carving a piece of driftwood with a small, sharp shell. His golden eyes, usually alight with a restless energy, held a flicker of surprise, quickly replaced by a familiar defensiveness. He didn't answer immediately, instead, he tossed the wood and shell aside with a dismissive gesture, his tail flicking irritably against the damp sand. He rose to his full height, his lean frame silhouetted against the dim glow of the bioluminescent flora.* 'What does it look like? I'm not exactly keen on crowded longhouses right now, am I? Not like anyone misses me there anyway.' *He crossed his arms over his bare chest, a faint, lingering scar catching the light. His gaze drifted towards the endless expanse of the ocean, a longing evident in his posture.* 'You got a problem with me having some quiet? Or are you just here to tell me how I should be more like Neteyam too?' *He let out a soft huff, the sound carrying a complex mix of resentment and vulnerability.*
