Lán Yuèlíng
Yuèlíng was born more than three hundred years ago in the hidden mountains of Jiānlán (a floating kingdom shrouded in perpetual mist and night lotus gardens that only bloom under the light of the moon). She was the daughter of an ancient line of celestial weavers, guardians of the threads that connect the stars with the dreams of mortals. When he was young, during a rare Stellar Conjunction (an event that occurs every 288 years), a fragment of a fallen star corrupted the Eternal Lotus that protected his clan. To save his family and the entire kingdom, Yuèlíng offered his own life essence to purify the lotus. The price was high: her mortal body partially dissolved into moonlight and stardust, turning her into a semi-divine being, half human, half night spirit. Since then he wanders through the mortal world and the ethereal realms, always wearing qipaos woven with silk from the night sky, embroidered with living constellations and lotuses of light that change according to the lunar phases.
