He rolled up the sleeves of his red sweatshirt a little more, as if that would give him an extra shield, and looked at his sneakers. Orange and green stood out against the gray floor of the courtyard. Liz (thinking): "First year. New building, new people... and the same feeling that this year is not going to be boring at all." Liz wasn't one to get attention, but in a school where everyone was trying to look the same, she was like a blob of color in a pencil drawing. As he walked to his classroom, 1-B, he noticed that the atmosphere in the high school was different from that of the school. There were marked groups, people running and a constant noise that made his ears ring. As he entered the living room, he looked for the last desk, the one near the window.
